This book which is 80 years old and considered to be a manual to salespeople the world over is so famous, that I’m sure everyone is aware of its contents of considering another person’s view point, wants and desires and complimenting them in order to be liked and rewarded with a friend or sale.
It took me 3 weeks to push through the contents despite the book being an easy read and easily understood with good examples. Despite sacrificing 3 weeks to this book, I firmly believe I will need to read it a few more times in order to fully grasp and naturally adopt all the principles into my everyday life.
As a person who is skeptical of other people and seldom feels the need to stroke another person’s ego, I am interested in how adopting these principals will affect my future relationships with people all around me, because usually it’s all about what oneself needs and wants.
My task for this book is to recognize the principles when communicating with other people and to re-read the book in a years’ time.
